I got bangs!
I haven’t had a fringe since I was seven, but hey–everyone loves a classic, right?
I had been fawning over pictures of Bridgette Bardot and Audrey Hepburn and wondered–can I pull this look off? I decided to just go ahead and try.
I had mentioned to a few people that I was thinking of going for bangs, but when I had mixed reactions, I decided to just go for it without telling anyone beforehand!
I made an appointment at the Pomegranate Salon with Noel and bam! Even though it may not be a huge change, there was something very exciting about surprising people with my “new look.” Because a) I am terrible at keeping surprises–so for me, keeping my haircut a secret was a big deal (I know, ridiculous) and b) I don’t really take chances when it comes to my hair! So this was pretty spontaneous for me.
So far, I really love them. The biggest change is having to put some effort into my hair–before I just washed and was done. With bangs though, I have to take some time styling them. So far I’ve only liked my hair half up or in a pony tail with them–I look a little too Hermione when all of my hair is down…I’ll blame the Davis heat.
Another difference is that I will have to go in to a hair salon a lot more often for bang trims. I really am hoping I can learn how to trim them on my own seeing as I’ll be leaving Davis soon and I’m not confident enough in my French to get haircuts in Bordeaux!
Let me know what you think! And for any of you girls with bangs, do you trim them yourself? Any tips would be much appreciated!
