Does anyone else find themselves buying a new swimsuit each year?
I know I’ve gotten into this habit–and it can be an expensive one. I was shocked when shopping around this year and saw most swimsuits were averaging out to around $80!
This summer, I wanted to switch up my beachwear style (I was super inspired after seeing the movie Brooklyn and wanted something more vintage-esque) but I was let down when I saw most retailers were out of my price range.
Since I use Amazon for pretty much everything else, I decided to search for swimsuits on there and was pleasantly surprised! There are lots of retro and vintage swimsuit options, and Amazon has an amazing return policy. So I could still “try things on” without there being a risk of getting stuck with a swimsuit I didn’t like.
And the best part is that each of these suits were around $20!
I’ve worn the blue one piece a bunch and it’s held up great–I think I’ll be ordering my next one in green 😀
The gingham bikini was super cute for this photoshoot, but the actual fit I didn’t really like for hanging around the beach or pool–the coverage wasn’t too secure. So, even after wearing it for these photos I was still able to return it and get my refund from Amazon! Not sure if this is totally acceptable, but I just washed the swimsuit sent it back to them and got my refund….shhhh (Unfortunately it looks like they don’t carry the gingham pattern suit anymore, but if you like the style I’ll put a link here).
